Diamond type is a method of scientifically classifying diamonds by the level and type of chemical impurity present. Diamonds are separated into four types: Type Ia, Type Ib, Type IIa, and Type IIb. Each of our diamond reports is accompanied by an additional page which determines the type of the diamond.
